Guiding patients through every walk of life.
Nice to meet you, I’m Jaclyn.
I am the owner of Empower and Evolve Counseling. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Clinical Addictions Specialist, as well as a supervisor for therapists newly entering the field. My experiences in mental health and substance use counseling have focused on treating adolescents, emerging adults, established adult populations, and families in the transition from addiction to recovery. I have been a practicing psychotherapist for six years, and after working in inpatient and intensive outpatient settings, I recognized the need for continuity of care. This realization has led to me establishing my own private practice!

Is therapy for me?
Starting therapy can be a daunting experience for many individuals, as it requires a level of vulnerability. Some people find therapy uncomfortable as it encourages self-reflection, introspection, and opening up about personal thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Exploring deep-seated beliefs, patterns of behavior, and the underlying causes of personal challenges may require individuals to confront aspects of themselves they had never considered before.
Despite the initial fears and challenges, therapy has the potential to empower individuals and enhance their resilience. Working through these emotions with the guidance of a therapist can lead to increased self-awareness, healing, personal growth, and the development of effective coping strategies in a safe and nonjudgemental space. Therapy can help individuals regain control over their lives, have more successful, healthy relationships, and fosters a sense of empowerment and self-confidence.
When establishing Empower and Evolve Counseling, I wanted to create a brand that accurately reflected the experience of those willing to dive head first into the therapeutic process. Connecting with something that exhibits personal transformation that takes patience and perseverance to encourage gradual growth and the ability to flourish against difficult circumstances, along came the lotus flower.
The growth of a lotus flower begins from the muddy waters and rises above the surface, representing the journey from emotional challenges to finding emotional healing and inner peace. Symbolizing the process of overcoming adversity, healing from past trauma, and developing into one's best self through therapy. The lotus flower's ability to transform from a closed bud to a fully bloomed flower is a powerful symbol of personal transformation. In therapy, it signifies the potential for individuals to undergo positive changes, develop self-awareness, and find healing.
